Phnom Penn& the killing fields

Phnom Penn is the capital of Cambodia. The city is charming with it's French architecture and four rivers running through and chilling with the prison and the killing fields. During the Khmer Rouge rule, starting in 1975 until Vietnam invaded and defeated them in
1979, the elderly ( over 40 yrs.),the educated, people with glasses, anyone with any handicap or who spoke more than one language were rounded up , tortured for months and then killed.
It is estimated that about 1.7 million people were killed. It was something we will never forget. The picture that shows the monument has 8 thousand cracked skulls in it, including children.
