Speeding across Texas

OOps! So much for the leisurely traveling. We need to make it to Uvalde, TX on Friday to start our training. We drove 5 hours to Fort Stockton and then to Uvalde. Texas is scrubby and flat. The signs marked rivers, creeks and draws are dry. I guess they have water in the rainy season because there are all these signs that guage rain flow like we have for snow!

Deming, NM

St. Clair Winery, the largest winery in New Mexico
The Pink Store, across the border in Palamos., Mexico. Lots of stuff and good food.

Tuscon at Ellie and Tom's house

Patterson's house is even cuter on the inside than the outside.. The picture Rob drew of Che' hangs proudly over a door! Ellie took Sara cycling and hiking. It will probably cost Sara a bunch of money because she fell in love with a new bike! We visited Bisby with Tom and Ellie. It is an old copper mining area with a cute historical downtown area.

Ehrenberg, Arizona on the Colorado River

This is the favorite park so far! It's right on the Colorado River, has a nice patio and grassy area for all campers. We have been in Nevada, Callifornia and Arizona today.

Vegas

It warm!!!! We can finally winterize the trailer. The puppies loved meeting new friends in the LV doggie
park. We gambled $3 and lost it all on the nickel machines. What big spenders! We are seeing how the full time rvers live. Met a former principal from Melba, who new lots of Kuna people that Sara knows. He and his wife have been wintering in LV rv park for 14 years!

Ely, Nevada

Camping at -5 degrees; why is it we were the only ones in the campground? The price was right, $10 a night:) We watched the playoff game in their cozy warm bar, watching the big screen!

Actually Heading out in the snow! January 10th

Thanks to Cathy, Rob and Kim for keeping care of our house as we head out for our adventures!
