Bon fires, welcome parties, goodbye parties, St Patty's...lots of fun friends at Palm Creek!
Yummy Mexican Food in Benson
Sue and Tom told us about this small, wonderful restaurant in Benson. I asked them who makes heuvos rancheros in Benson as I did not see it on the menu. The owner said my wife makes the best. So they specially made six orders of huevos for us! They were fantastic!!!
Biking in Benson
My bike was leaned up against a tree in San Pedro Resort Community. I had a flat and we didn't have a pump and Benson doesn't have a bike store. This VERY nice man, Tom Reidel, walked by and offered to fix my tire:) The he introduced me to his wife, Sue, who LOVES TO BIKE. She showed me all the great bike rides around Benson. Sara was then, a very happy camper! Tom has helped arrange Ride Wyoming for many years. We loved making such wonderful new friends!
Benson, AZ
We are working four jobs in the Benson area...Benson is 40 miles east of Tucson. The weather this day was lovely, but they actually had a full blown blizzard while we were here!

Carlsbad Caversn 2
Our camera doesn't do this place justice. It is 1 1/2 miles to walk around..these caverns were created by rainwater seeping through the cracks and faults in limestone that mixed with hydrogen-sulfide rich water that migrated upward from vast oil and gas fields to the south and east. These formed sulfuric acid which dissolved the limestone and opened up the fractures and faults into huge caverns....geology lesson for today!
Carlsbad Caverns
Unbelievable Stalactites and Stalagmites....We learned how to remember the difference...the "c" is for ceiling and the "g" is for ground:) The Bib Room is 8.2 acres. The lighting is fantastic...it feels like another world.

Las Vegas,NM and Santa Fe
We went to visit our friends, Joel and Jean, who live on a 25 acre ranch outside of Las Vegas,NM. It was Joel's 70th birthday. Because of our hitch problems, we drove 14 hours; we arrived at 10:30 pm . Everyone from the party had gone, but we had a good time with Joel and Jean and their friends, Dave and Cynthia from New Jersey.....that is until, we blow out their fuses. We woke up to a balmy 18 degrees inside the trailer!
After New Years, we headed to Santa Fe. This is the picture of the Governor's Palace. Native Americans come here to sell artifacts. There aren't as many as usual because it is below freezing outside!

Our New Home
We ended up in a blizzard to find this beautiful campground by Utah Lake in Provo. The trailer was nice and warm...but our hitch was causing the whole load to shift forward when we slowed down to stop. If my neck wasn't a mess before, this surely did not help at all! So we spent a day in Provo at a hotel getting a new part for the hitch...

Koi Samui, Thailand
We took a ferry boat to Koi Samui. There was actually a boat dock at both ends. The ferry boat held about 100 passengers. Sitting in the air conditioned cost extra. We were met at the dock by a van that took us to Bill's Resort--right on the beach. This place was very laid back compared to Phuket. Instead of 1000's of people on the beach, there were only 100's. Not much night life but a good food plaza in the center of town. The hotel had a contential breakfast with fried eggs, toast, coffee and a lot of fresh fruit. The pool was about 100 ft. from the beach. The pool was surrounded by bushes so it did not get much of a breeze. The beach always had a nice breeze blowing. I big day here was getting off the lounger to move the shade umbrella so you did not get sun burned. Sara got a good massage here with a great ocean view. We stayed in Samui for 6 nights.
Phuket, Thailand
After Bali we flew back to Phuket, Thailand. We stayed on the west side at Patong Beach. Patong City is a tourist town. It has a very active night life and many great restraurants and hotels. You can hear many languages spoken there. We stayed there 4 nights and then went to Koi Samui island via ferry boat.
